Architectural Design
Architectural design for Kipuka is managed by Hoakalei Resort Community Association (HRCA), who is Kipuka’s Master Association. All changes to landscaping and the exterior of a home must be approved by HRCA, who is responsible for the review and approval of variances. The Kipuka Architectural Guidelines (pg.6), state the following:
“3.1.3 The ARC has jurisdiction over all construction, additions, alterations or repairs on any portion of Kipuka at Hoakalei be it for individual Lots or common area property within Kipuka at Hoakalei. The ARC is responsible for reviewing and approving/disapproving all applications for construction, additions, modifications, and site improvements visible from streets or neighboring properties, including all improvements to Enclosed Private Yards.”
3.2.4 The ARC shall not consider any application from an Owner who is not in good standing, i.e., has outstanding violations or is delinquent in the payment of Association fees.
The Kipuka AOUO and Board of Directors are not responsible, nor involved, in approving architectural design requests. The master association, HRCA, creates the architectural design guidelines and is responsible for ensuring residents adhere to those guidelines. Homeowners interested in making alterations, changes, and/or modifications to their landscaping and/or exterior of the home will need to complete a form and pay an application fee to HRCA.
